About the Role
We are seeking a Test Automation Programmer Analyst to join a multidisciplinary Scrum team composed of Developers, Analyst-Testers, Business Analysts, and Architects. You will be responsible for the design, development, and support of the Clearing Automation Testing product, working primarily in Python (70%) and C++ (30%). Your contributions will directly support the product’s evolution, reliability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the architecture and design of the Clearing Automation Testing product.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain the Clearing Testing automation tool.
- Work with real-time applications and distributed systems on Linux.
- Collaborate with team members to review and refine requirements, design approaches, and testing cycles.
- Conduct and participate in code reviews, ensuring compliance with enterprise coding standards.
- Provide troubleshooting and analytical support for complex software/system issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement within the team and support agile/scrum processes.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Advanced/strong C++ knowledge.
- Experience with AI-driven automated testing.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Jenkins, and CI/CD workflows.
- Experience with GIT, JIRA/Confluence, AWS.
- Knowledge of financial services and capital markets environments.
Requirements
University degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
5+ years of hands-on Python development/scripting experience.
5+ years of practical C++ development experience.
Strong experience designing and implementing automated testing solutions.
Expertise in distributed systems and Linux-based development.
Solid understanding of UML.
Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills; strong team player.
Fluent in both French and English (spoken and written).
Must be able to work hybrid in Montreal.
