Technical Product Analyst (Capital Markets)

About the Role

The ideal candidate has strong product knowledge in Capital Markets, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into technical deliverables. You’ll bridge the gap between business and technology, supporting system development, production releases, and continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Demonstrate strong understanding of business functions to identify problems and improvement opportunities.
2. Prepare clear, accurate, and comprehensive business specifications and requirements to support development and project delivery.
3. Develop documentation including BRDs, Design Documents, Use Cases, Process Models, and workflow diagrams.
4. Collaborate across engineering teams throughout the full SDLC, ensuring alignment between business and technical teams.
5. Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams to deliver solutions that meet user needs.
6. Build and maintain effective relationships across global teams.
7. Support production issues, escalations, and release cycles as needed.
8. Perform ad hoc analysis, reporting, and problem-solving when assigned.

Capital Markets Domain Knowledge (Highly Preferred):

1. Repo trading: fixed-income repos, securities lending
2. Trade lifecycle: rerates, substitutions, partials, swing/meta trades
3. Triparty repo, CCP workflows, novation
4. Securities position management & collateral optimization
5. Regulatory reporting: CIRO, SFTR
6. Data mapping, vendor management
7. MQ messaging to settlement systems (ADP, GLOSS, IMPACT)
8. Electronic trading connectivity (Bloomberg, BTEC, Tradeweb, GLMX)
9. Platform familiarity: ION trade chains, publishers, gateways, STP components
10. Tools exposure: Anvil 9, MMI, ARC reporting

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in capital markets with strong product/business understanding.

  • Experience collaborating across multiple teams, departments, and global regions.

  • Strong hands-on experience with SDLC, including requirements gathering, design, testing, and deployment.

  • Proficiency with Jira and Confluence for delivery tracking and documentation.

  • Scripting skills in Python, SQL, or similar languages.

  • Ability to quickly learn new processes, workflows, and standards.

  • Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and actionable results.

  • Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.

  • Experience with data flow diagrams, sequence diagrams, and software modeling tools is an asset.

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
