About the Role

The Software Tester validates end-to-end business processes as the vendor updates the solution. This role maintains high-quality test assets, executes UAT, manages defects, oversees vendor testing, and provides evidence-based release readiness input.

Key Responsibilities

Test Design & Maintenance:
- Create and update end-to-end business process tests based on requirements and vendor changes.
- Maintain reusable test data and clearly documented expected results.

Azure DevOps Test Governance:
- Maintain full traceability (Requirement → Test → Result → Defect).
- Manage Test Plans/Suites (smoke, regression, UAT) and attach test evidence.
- Keep dashboards and queries current.

Vendor Testing Oversight:
- Review vendor test cases, coverage, and results; identify gaps and request evidence.
- Validate defect severity/priority and confirm closure evidence.

UAT Execution:
- Execute business process tests during UAT; log results and defects with evidence.
- Validate bug fixes and track UAT progress.

Defect Management:
- Log clear, reproducible defects; participate in triage and verify fixes.
- Monitor defect aging and highlight quality risks.

Release Readiness:
- Provide data-driven go/no-go input (coverage, pass rate, critical bugs, residual risks).
- Contribute to Test Summary Reports.

Change Impact & Improvement:
- Review vendor release notes to adjust regression scope.
- Recommend improvements in test assets, data, and automation readiness.

Test Automation Support:
- Identify automation candidates; maintain simple scripts as needed.
- Support integration with Azure DevOps pipelines and link automated results to Test Cases.

Requirements


  • 10+ years in Software Testing / QA

  • Strong skills in business-process test design, UAT execution, risk-based prioritization, and defect triage.

  • Experience with Azure DevOps Test Plans and evidence-based reporting.

  • Ability to review vendor testing, challenge coverage, and validate fixes.

  • Technical basics: UI/API understanding, SQL for data checks, reading logs, environment/data setup.

  • Familiarity with automation concepts and CI pipelines.

  • Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.

  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and focused on quality and continuous improvement.
