About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our DevOps Production team in Montreal. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in automation, cloud, and big data environments, along with proven experience working in capital markets or other regulated financial environments.
This role requires a hands-on technologist who can drive efficiency, scalability, and reliability across our infrastructure and applications, ensuring seamless operations in a fast-paced, high-availability trading environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Git, and ArgoCD.
Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, and PowerShell to improve system reliability and performance.
Administer and troubleshoot both Linux and Windows operating systems in production environments.
Build, scale, and maintain Kubernetes/Docker containerized environments.
Manage and optimize infrastructure across cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
Work with Big Data technologies to support data-intensive applications and platforms.
Monitor, maintain, and enhance system performance, ensuring adherence to regulatory and security standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, and business stakeholders, to deliver robust solutions.
Contribute to incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
10+ years of experience in DevOps, Systems Engineering, or related roles.
Strong scripting and automation expertise (5+ years with Bash, Python, PowerShell).
Expert knowledge of Linux and Windows OS administration and troubleshooting.
Proven experience working with Big Data technologies (5+ years).
Solid hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Ansible, Git, ArgoCD).
Background in capital markets, stock exchange, or regulated financial environments is highly desirable.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work in high-pressure environments.
Excellent communication skills; bilingual in English and French preferred, fluent English speakers considered.
