Senior Cloud Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and continuous evolution of our cloud infrastructure and platform services. This role will be responsible for architecting scalable, secure, and highly available cloud environments on AWS, while driving automation, operational excellence, and cloud engineering best practices across the organization.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in cloud architecture, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), container platforms, CI/CD automation, and cloud security. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams, architects, and business stakeholders to build resilient platforms that accelerate product delivery and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Architecture & Infrastructure:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS.
- Architect cloud-native platforms that support modern application development and deployment practices.
- Lead infrastructure modernization, migration, and cloud transformation initiatives.
- Optimize infrastructure for performance, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.

Infrastructure Automation & Platform Engineering
- Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives using AWS CDK, Terraform, and related tools.
- Build automated provisioning and self-service infrastructure capabilities for development teams.
- Develop reusable cloud patterns and operational standards.

CI/CD & DevOps Enablement
- Design and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines supporting automated testing, deployment, and release processes.
- Implement deployment automation using GitHub Actions or equivalent tooling.
- Improve deployment reliability and engineering productivity through DevOps best practices.

Containerization & Platform Operations:
- Build and manage container platforms using Docker, ECS, EKS, and Kubernetes.
- Support container orchestration, cluster scalability, resiliency, and operational readiness.
- Implement advanced platform engineering and cloud-native deployment models.

Security, Governance & Reliability
- Define and implement cloud security controls, governance frameworks, and compliance standards.
- Develop strategies for IAM, secrets management, network security, and access control.
- Establish observability capabilities, including monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, and incident response.
- Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Leadership & Collaboration
- Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical direction for cloud adoption initiatives.
- Mentor junior and intermediate engineers and promote engineering excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align cloud capabilities with business priorities.
