About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Communications Cloud Architect with deep expertise in the telecommunications industry to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-scale Salesforce Communications Cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Salesforce Communications Cloud (Vlocity), Revenue Cloud, and CPQ, along with a strong background in Salesforce architecture, integration, and custom development.
This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, solution architects, and technical teams to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions that support telecom business processes across product configuration, quoting, order management, and customer lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design end-to-end Salesforce Communications Cloud solutions aligned with telecommunications business requirements.
- Architect product configuration, pricing, quoting, and CPQ processes using Communications Cloud and Revenue Cloud.
- Design order capture, order decomposition, orchestration, and order fallout management solutions.
- Lead solution design workshops and provide technical leadership throughout project delivery.
- Review solution architecture, code quality, and technical deliverables to ensure scalability and best practices.
- Develop and customize Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura, Visualforce, and JavaScript.
- Design and implement integrations with ERP, billing, inventory, payment gateways, and middleware platforms such as MuleSoft using REST and SOAP APIs.
- Build custom automation using Apex, Triggers, Batch Apex, Queueable Apex, Flows, and asynchronous processing.
- Optimize application performance while ensuring compliance with Salesforce security and governor limits.
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Create and maintain architecture documentation, solution designs, technical specifications, and development standards.
- Assess existing implementations and recommend performance, scalability, and maintainability improvements.
- Collaborate within Agile/Scrum teams and provide technical guidance to developers and project stakeholders.
Requirements
10+ years of Salesforce development and architecture experience.
Extensive experience with Salesforce Communications Cloud (Vlocity) and Revenue Cloud.
Strong expertise in CPQ, including:
Product Configuration
Pricing Rules
Discounting
Approval Workflows
Quote Templates
Deep understanding of the Telecommunications/Communications Service Provider (CSP) industry.
Strong hands-on experience with:
Apex
Lightning Web Components (LWC)
Aura Components
Visualforce
JavaScript
SOQL & SOSL
Experience designing scalable Salesforce data models and implementing security using Profiles, Roles, Permission Sets, and Sharing Rules.
Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems using REST and SOAP APIs.
Knowledge of Salesforce declarative tools including Flows.
Experience with middleware platforms such as MuleSoft is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices, governor limits, and performance optimization.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
