About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to support the implementation and optimization of Conga CPQ within Salesforce (SFDC) and its integration with SAP S/4HANA as part of an upgrade from SAP ECC. This individual will play a key role in bridging business needs and IT delivery by gathering requirements, documenting user stories, and ensuring that delivered solutions align with business goals.
The role will operate under the direction of the full-time CPQ Product Owner, who retains final decision-making authority.
Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership Support:
- Collaborate with the full-time CPQ Product Owner to define and refine the CPQ roadmap and sprint deliverables.
- Elicit, document, and prioritize business and functional requirements from Sales, Finance, Operations, and IT stakeholders.
- Write detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and use cases to guide development teams.
- Ensure requirements align with enterprise architecture standards, business objectives, and SAP integration strategy.
Integration & Technical Alignment:
- Partner with Salesforce, Conga CPQ, and SAP S/4HANA teams to ensure seamless integration and data consistency across systems.
- Support the transition from SAP ECC to S/4HANA with focus on quote-to-cash processes and pricing configurations.
- Participate in design and testing sessions to validate integration points including pricing, product master data, and order processing.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams to clarify requirements and ensure delivery accuracy.
- Gather user feedback and translate it into incremental improvements for the CPQ platform.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT), training materials, and post-deployment validation.
Governance & Documentation:
-Maintain documentation of business processes, configuration decisions, and functional specifications.
- Ensure compliance with internal governance, change management, and data integrity standards.
- Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release readiness activities.
Preferred:
- Experience with SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration initiatives.
- Salesforce and/or Conga certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Conga CPQ Specialist).
- Knowledge of middleware platforms such as MuleSoft or Dell Boomi.
- Understanding of enterprise quoting, pricing, and contract lifecycle processes.
Requirements
5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role supporting Salesforce-based solutions.
Proven experience with Conga CPQ (Apttus), including configuration, rules, pricing, and quoting.
Strong understanding of Salesforce Sales Cloud and related data model.
Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA integration, preferably within quote-to-cash or order management.
Demonstrated ability to write clear, testable user stories and acceptance criteria.
Strong communication and collaboration skills across business and IT.
Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks.
