About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Product Manager – Workday HR Technology to lead product roadmap management, stakeholder engagement, and HR technology transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working within a Workday environment, translating business needs into product priorities, and driving cross-functional initiatives from strategy through delivery. This role will work closely with HR, IT, business stakeholders, Workday teams, and technology partners to define priorities, manage the product roadmap, and ensure HR technology solutions deliver measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the Workday product roadmap, aligning priorities with HR and business strategy.
- Partner with HR, IT, business leaders, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, pain points, and
future-state needs.
- Lead HR technology transformation initiatives involving Workday and related HR systems.
- Translate business requirements into product vision, features, user stories, and prioritized initiatives.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops, roadmap discussions, prioritization sessions, and executive presentations.
- Manage the product backlog and prioritize enhancements based on business value, urgency, dependencies, and technical feasibility.
- Collaborate with Workday functional teams, developers, integration teams, vendors, and implementation partners.
- Establish product goals, success metrics, and KPIs and track progress against expected outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes through Workday functionality, automation, integrations, and process optimization.
- Manage dependencies, risks, issues, and competing priorities across multiple initiatives.
- Support release planning, testing, deployment, and change management activities.
- Ensure effective communication of roadmap changes, delivery timelines, risks, and decisions to stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement of the Workday product and overall HR technology ecosystem.
Requirements
5+ years of Product Management, Product Owner, Business Systems, or related experience, preferably within HR technology.
Strong hands-on experience with Workday roadmap management and prioritization.
Proven experience leading or supporting HR technology transformation initiatives.
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, including experience working with senior HR and IT stakeholders.
Experience translating business requirements into product roadmaps, features, user stories, and delivery priorities.
Strong understanding of Workday capabilities and the broader HR technology ecosystem.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Strong communication, presentation, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, dependencies, and cross-functional teams.
Ability to work 2–3 days per week onsite in Etobicoke, Ontario.
